DKMessenger is a real-time video messaging application with voice, text chat and file transfer capabilities. DKMessenger allows you to share video and have conversations with your friends.
DKMessenger is not totally free but is mentioned here because they also offer a professional edition and a business edition.
In this use of social networking each user is represented by an avatar. Video transmission looks good when used with a broadband connection. User accounts must be activated and we did not see a free trial period offered on their website.
We classify true VoIP and SIP applications as those which can be interfaced with your network using telephone adapters. DKMessenger does not meet this classification but it appears to be an interesting download. You can get it here. The link will open in a new window.
