Phone Gnome Plug and Play VoIP Solution
PhoneGnome - yes we spell it as one word or two - was reviewed by PC Magazine, which said "For low-tech types who approach a VoIP solution with trepidation, the California-based TelEvolution presents the PhoneGnome, a plug-and-play box about the size of two decks of cards that turns regular phone service into a full-fledged voice over IP service."
Totally Free calls to Internet-enabled phones with no monthly fees with working 911 emergency service highlight this VoIP provider's approach. The plug and play aspect comes from using their ATA adapters. An ATA is an analogue to digital adapter. Plugging in the adapter causes the unit to get its information from the Internet, thus called plug and play.
PhoneGnome sells adapters online, sells calling plans to call regular telephone numbers over the net, and they are competitive. Their adapters are similar to those seen in the SipPhone store.
PhoneGnome is an appliance that one buys and owns, with no monthly fees, no subscription, and no activation. Instead of switching to a new service, getting a new phone number, or going through a lot of hassle to transfer your existing number, you simply plug PhoneGnome in. You don't have to sign up to anything or perform any configuration. It works with your existing phone and your existing telephone service (ordinary phone line) to instantly and painlessly add FREE Internet calling and advanced VoIP features to your existing phone service.
