GloPhone - you must create your free account to get the free phone. Link opens in a new window. This is a single - line phone which allows free PC to PC calls. You can fund your account to make other calls. Please note that we are now entering the arena where comparing the rates of various providers is what divides the competition. For instance GloPhone may offer 3.9 cent per minute calls while Stanaphone offers 2 cent per minute calls. These are rates for Voice Over the Net to regular phones. In the old days we compared long distance plans. Now we are comparing VON rates to non-VON numbers.

Pictured here is the free soft phone for Windows from Xten. It is one of the most popular, in part because it is available as a pre-configured, easily installed, free package. It is a multi - line phone. Another popular free packeage for Windows is Stanaphone, which is a single - line phone.

Inphonex - create your free account and pick a 7 digit phone number. Get the phone from FWD or Addaline first because you will be adding this free phone service to an existing phone. If you are looking for conference call capabilities and multi-line free phones we recommend Xten phones.
